I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

If it concerns R&DMFC it concerns us all whether we're at the event or not surely

I don't know Oggie from Adam Rich just asking that's all Is he a member ??
Re: St Asaph Fayre - 16th August 2015.
No not a member, he's flown fpv longer than most of the lads at Rhyl, very competent flyer, think he has attended Rhyl with the intention of joining, if he had joined his name would be the same colour as the members

Correct no issue with that but do you belive that the organising team wouldnt think to check on insurance? It makes no difdence to the event if they are a rdmfc member so again an odd thing to ask.

Many apologies for asking odd/awkward questions, I'll select silent mode and head back to Coventry
Re: St Asaph Fayre - 16th August 2015.
Back to the matter in hand.
Ive preped my trainer as well if conditions suit. Should have cath and a few others with me. Bit of aerotowing could be good too.
Shall i see if AJ is free for some heli demos like previous years?

I better mend the motor in the MiniMag then, the bent shaft isn't going to help..

Re: St Asaph Fayre - 16th August 2015.
We are in for a nice day today followed by 2 days of heavy rain, however the forcast for Sunday looks good with light wind.
Fingers crossed guys.
Quick brief for the guys wanting to fly on Sunday. I will hold a pilots brief on Site at 9.45am with a few do`s and donts for the day but in preperation for flying can we all look at the following,
Pilot and planes
A cert holder are ok to fly models in there certificated catagory
NO TEST FLIGHTS or MAIDENS, all models flown should be proven fliers Before the event.
Failsafes must be set and working, a minimum of throttle to idle is a required (this will be tested!).
Control clevis` must be locked and secure (see pics below for an example)
Every flight must be made with a spotter/helper.
No more than 4 models in the air at any one time.
Starting I.C and "making live" of electric models to be done in the Starting box only (this will be marked out on the day)
BMFA handbook gives details of pre/post flight checks, I know you all do them every flight anyway, but its important. the excuse of "it was fine last flight" is invalid as there may be lots of touch and feel going on by the visiting public.
See the flight line director if in any doubt of sutibility of models/conditions.
Any models on static display and equipment are the responability of the owner, although we will all keep an eye on things there will be lots of people about. Our models should all be behind a barrier which will limit the chances of damage or worse.
Should be a good day lets get lots of you out flying the RDMFC banner!
Fingers crossed guys.

To ALL club members!
Please come along and, even if you don't want to fly, help out on our stand. Even for a short while
This is the main public event that we do and it creates a big impression with the public about who we are, what we do etc
Bring static flying thingies! Bring flying flying thingies! Bring yourselves!
