I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

St Asaph Fayre 2016
Evening all.
We've been invited along to put on a small display at the St Asaph Fayre again this year, held at Llannerch Hall, near Trefnant. It is being held on the 21st August. Here's the website: http://www.stasaphfayre.co.uk/
The plan is to meet at the Whistlestop cafe in Rhuddlan at 8am for breakfast, and then convoy on down to Llannerch hall for about 9am. A quick setup before the gate open to the public at 10am. We could do with models for display, both static and flying, and the more people we get there, the better it will be.
Can anyone who would like to come, please let me know what you are planning on bringing, and whether you would like to fly there or not. The site is not really suitable for flying really big models, but gliders, sports models, helicopters etc should be okay. We shall make a proper judgement on the day, as the wind direction will play a big part in what is safe to fly there.
Oh, and we could also do with tables, and a couple of gazebos, just in case the weather isn't perfect!
Cheers
Andy
EDIT:
All pilots wishing to fly, must have a BMFA A cert. for the relevent discipline. Anything over 7kg, will require a B certficate, and may be subject to weather restrictions on the day.

Will be there with all the usual suspects, and offering trial flights to memebers of the public too. Perhaps we could organise a laminated sign or summat dispalaying that fact a sIm sure many would like to have a go but are afraid to ask. If so, its perhaps best to have a dedicated "trial flight slot" say 1 pm to 2Pm or whatever, then I know where Im at IYSWIM

I think a very nominal "charge" of say a couple of quid a go would be in order ?.... seems reasonable at a public event - I'll word it in such a way that it's a suggested "donation" towards the club's tea fund ;-).
Unless anyone has strong feelings against it, I'll knock up a suitably worded laminated A4 sign over the next few days

Rope would be a good idea, cheers Andy!
At this point in time, I understand the site layout will be the same as last year, so we should have a barrier between us and the general public. I'll confirm that after a site meeting with the organisers next week at some point.
Cheers

Re: St Asaph Fayre 2016
Isn't this a rotary/round table event where they are raising funds for charities if we charge for a go then they may ask for a donation
Re: St Asaph Fayre 2016
then if we charge say a pound for a flight and give 50% to the rotary charities and the remaining 50% to the RDMFC under privileged adult society....

Re: St Asaph Fayre 2016
As Im about to print the flyer I need to make decision......
I think a 2 pound charge per flight session ( stating that this will include a £1 contribution to the rotary club ) is pretty fair in this day and age. Any "profit" can be chucked into the burger /cuppa fund for those helping to run it.
Unless I get hate mail or death threats tonight... Im going with this .
