August clubnight - Thursday 4th August.

Roll up, Roll up!

It's clubnight competition time, this Thursday. The official official has decided to re-run the climb and glide comp. Any model can be used, no matter what.

The rules are simple:

1. Climb for 30 seconds (either from a hand launch or ROG).
2. Cut motor, and glide for as long as you can.
3. Land, and the timer stops. More time in the air = more points.
4. The spot landing bonus points will be available.
5. Mystery bonus points will be available too, as deemed fit by the official official.

I'll be there from approximately 6pm. Start at 6.30pm.

Oh, and just to make sure everyone is aware, you don't need a special model, you don't need to sit out flying for the night. Come along, fly anyway. Just because the competition is on, doesn't mean you can't fly if you don't want to enter!

Just a last minute update. The weather is looking good, the cloud cover is reducing, the wind has dropped off too. The chance of rain is slim to none, so it should be a good night for a Climb and Glide comp!

After much deliberation, the official August club night comp results are in:

1. Andy S. Graphite. 30s climb. 8min flight. Strip landing bonus. 20 points.
2. Andy K. EFX. 3s climb. 5 min flight. Spot landing super bonus. 19 points
3. Tim M. Tundra minus wheels. 30s climb. 4min 30s flight. Strip landing bonus. 14 points
4. Allan P. Diesel thing. 30s climb. 1min 40s flight. Entertaining "landing" bonus.10 points
5. Everyone else who turned up. 30s unused climb time bonus! 5 points each.

If I've missed you off, let me know, the official score keeping device suffered technical difficulties....
