I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Re: St Asaph Fayre - Sunday 17th August.
In defiance of the fact I don't have a B cert for anything, I'm going to be doing some field building I think....

Actually, thinking about it, what's the stance with flying Multirotors at a show? The B cert has been out for about 2 days, so obviously not enough time to get that, and heli B doesn't really cover it.....

If the forecast is anything to go by we'll be doing a lot more discussing than flying
Re: St Asaph Fayre - Sunday 17th August.
Ha I see what you did there, B fast! I've seen the forecast too, hence the field build I reckon!

Re: St Asaph Fayre - Sunday 17th August.
I have to say considering the weather forecast we have a terrific day at the Fayre.
Lots of support from members and the general public lots of questions especially about the multi rotors Zaidy had his pro gear on display what a nice couple of machines, I want his battery box contents & new gimbal.
Andy was inundated with questions from general public, I thought at one point he was going for the dry marker board judging by his hand movements
Jem did us proud with his fixed wing stuff, Allan P had lots of stuff on show as well as his trusty Wot4 assisted in cutting the grass loverly along with Jem doing his best to take his gear out.
Tim (Sparky) Mackey has his usual stuff.
Andy Kaz got his Sukhoi running sweet with his new engine, thanks Allan.
I assisted with gimbal control, hand launches & eating burgers & cake although Roy wasn't far behind me.
Gary (badges) Jones loved trying to mode 2 on the SIM judging by his face crashed a lot too.
Spotted Pete & his crew milling around.
A great day put RDMFC on the map again

yep, really great day today even though the weather was against us but it didn't matter, good laugh & great turn out with the lads and a pretty good display of models.

Re: St Asaph Fayre - Sunday 17th August.
Glad you put up a good show guys. My weekend was pretty boring really. Testing new multirotors for J Perkins. Watching club friend Andy Johnstone sink and brand new 700e heli in the middle of a lake. Then later on blow a goblin 700 up with fireworks.
In adition to that we sank a battleship on the boating lake. Set fire to a sea plane. Set fire to a dog fighter duiring the pyros. Flew through several trees. Got drunk and had a hell of a laugh

Well, yes, it was a lot of work but a very good event. Horribly blustery and well done to Jeremy and the quaddies for holding the flying fort!
Well done to everyone that helped put us back on the map
And well done to StAsaph Rotary who organised the whole thing and provided us with such a good pitch. I was at one of their planning meetings and must say it was an example of how to do it.

Re: St Asaph Fayre - Sunday 17th August.
Cheers for everyone that came to help out, and say hello. It was a bit blowy, but fun nevertheless.
I spoke to quite a few of the public during the day, and it was really interesting to see that most of them were interested in how fast Jem's Rapier was flying, and wanting to know all about the Multirotors/drones.
Next time, as Rich says, I'm taking a whiteboard and some coloured pens. I'll have a whale of a time then!
