I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Right crack on,
First off I cut back to good wood and exposed the rib to check for damage
Rib had split a bit but a dap of cyno fixed that.
Next up some masking tape to cover the hole and a biro to mark the patch
I then transfered the making tape to a new bit of balsa and cut out a little over size
A little bit of trimming had it almost right
I forgot to take a pic but I then added 3 little balsa tabs to support the new piece and put a doubler at the back of the LE and added a bit of balsa square oversize to the LE ready to sand back, glued the whole lot and at time of writing it looks like this
I reckon a little Mathews and Son lightweight filla and a wee sand and we will be there, looks abit better for real than it dose in the pic
Quite pleased with myself

May not be a big deal to you "pro modelers" but im well chuffed I didnt balls it up,
Now just gotta pray the covering gose back without to much bother, gonna need hopfully just a small red patch.

And if you are putting spinners on, check the balance of those too! The one on my electric edge from yesteryear, was massively out of balance!

Cant belive ive no yellow covering
In other news engine back on with lots of Danny style thread lock (Bri I owe you a couple of engine bolts dont let me forget) just need to redo the super strong throttle linkage (thank god I had one of them) and the choke, new tank in aswell as the last one bloody leaked, new captive nuts in the canopy (those there on sunday will know the fustraton that caused) couple of new can mounts and were ready to rock
One very happy Mark

Don't worry about those bolts Mark, I don't want those replacing.
Re: Global RC 50cc Raven - Assembly Thread - Pic Heavy
Game on! I might a couple of offside of yellow profilm knocking around. It is about the same shade as the yellow on my low flying wing right? I'll bring some with me tomorrow

Right hopfully this thread can now come to a close, as you know it flew yesterday about 5 times and bar some fine tuning of the engine, and a bigger prop and getting to grips with the set up all is done.
