I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

Ditto..... along with all my new FPV gear
Got the tx unit from Andy S and a new Black Pearl monitor / rx unit. Just playing around at the moment using the runcam2, but have a diddy little boardcam arriving from the Badham shop.
Gonna keep the runcam for bigger stuff / onboard capture ......especially gliders

FPV gliders! Stack another dinky vtx on the back of the runcam Tim, and you have an FPV module for passenger flights for anything!

OK...... Ill have a looksee at the price.
Why does my black pearl rx/monitor have to be on a different channel / band to the tx?

I'd tend to ignore the channel numbering and banding, different (chinese) manufacturers tend to disregard the proper numbering sequence and band naming conventions. You should be on the same frequency (in MHz) though....

Well they are obviously both 5.8 Ghz but not sure how to tell the exact tuned frequency - Im sure the rx just states a band and channel number..... Ill have to recheck the manual more thoroughly this week.

Mini Hornet now properly flown after some fettling with it. the set up by plan makes it tail heavy, had to push the 800mah battery right up to the bulk head of the fpv cam and then add 2xalloy No 10 weights to the nose. also the 5 x 4 prop is pisshh, all noise no go, so stuck a 6 x 4 on and its sweet as. even managed to fly it fpv. Very Happy
