I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Hobby King bits arrived
Parcel has finally arrived in UK ( almost 15 weeks ) and I have been clobbered for tax etc. Luckily HK didnt declare full value, so total extra cost was 29.85. As approx half the items are mine, and the other half various other club members so Ive adjusted the price of the Spekky clone receivers, and the Vapor cells to re-coup money towards these costs.
Rx units now £13 each ( was £12 ) and Vapor cells £3 each ( was £2.50 )
I will have the Rx units in the car, so if you can have your money with you, you can collect whenever you see me next ( or call at home if you prefer )
............................................. £ Total
Andy x 4 ................................. 52
Allan Patrick x 2 .........................26
Marty x 2...................................26
John OxleyDean x 2 .................... 26
Sam Thomas x 1..........................13
Mark Barnes x 1..........................13
The vapor cells are "unallocated" but I bought 30 units. I want 5 myself, the other 25 are up for grabs by anyone who wants them ( maximum 5 each to be fair )

Ok Allan - the parcel is apparently being delivered Tuesday.

Re: Hobby King bits arrived
Quick summary
Good
1) Cheap as chips ( approx £13 with shipping and customs )
2) Very small and light
3) Seems to work just fine on range checking ( they are classed as park fly mind )
4) Quick Connect was pretty well instantaneous when checked for brown out
Not so good
1) No heatshrink fitted or bind plug included ( no big deal but not as advertised )
2) No pin out configuration or labelling whatsoever.
3) Single wire aerial looks flimsy + needs a blob of hot glue where it meets PCB
4) Binding took a few goes, but all seems rock solid now.
So for those of you who are buying them, heres the pin-out config.

F18 Hornet arrived
Not bad really for just £48 - just add battery and receiver all else is included.

He asked me to collect it from you, and he will pick it up from my place when he comes here on his way back home from Hull.

Re: Hobby King bits arrived
they look bang on the money, the only thing I can see is it may need a bigger battery
Re: Hobby King bits arrived
General opinion is they need around 2000 mah to hold a decent voltage - Im gonna be trying the new nanotech turnigy 1800 @50C rated.

Re: Hobby King bits arrived
The light was crap, and it needed 3 attempts at a hand launch before it got it away, and then it flew real well. Well chuffed for the money....a few more mods to do now I know its worth it.
Yesterday was flown on 3s - the future is 4s.

Looks sweet enough nice one Tim, it may require 4S but the future is FUTABA
Re: Hobby King bits arrived
Actually its probably more like Corona or all the other cheap stuff that's flooding the market these days - and I don't mean the fizzy drinks.
