RDMFC Club Open Day - 14th June.

Well your certainly correct that other insurance companies provide cover for the sport - and I would think that if a guest flyer ( not the trainee sceanrio as in earlier post ) turns up with a valid document he should be able to fly at our site??

Yes your right in a way, however, if you dont follow the recommendations, then the BMFA cant/wont help if there is a problem.
Hence the obliged bit is like a hidden sword they hold.

Are you going to the Open Day ? or Barkston ?

Barkston should be tomorrow and we're not going due to ongoing engine issues and lousy weather forecast and I believe the club open day is on the 14th but whether I will be there I know not at this moment in time

Your right paul cant fault the grammar. It is however an oxymoron "obligatory recomendation" two contradicting words used together. Its all too commonplace in political language, contractual smallprint etc, Just like you stated its use in the context of the bmfa insurance. "Were you following our recomendations? No, well then you can kiss your claim goodbye Mr whoeveritmightbe."

Its also a tactic used by orwels big brother to coerce the masses.

Hi Folks.

Just a reminder about Sunday, the Event is going to be nice and informal, just like a normal day at the field in fact. I would like all members to make visitors feel welcomed, but if you can remind them that they MUST sign in, putting their BMFA membership number in the book too.

Unfortunately, I am not going to be around much, if at all. I've managed to land a Job interview first thing on Monday morning. Great, apart from the fact it is in Fareham, which is waaaay down south! I'm setting off fairly early on Sunday, but I will try and pop in to see how things are going.

I hope to be there with the usual toys.... but doubt I will last all day - SWMBO has issued instructions as to me being out too long - especially as I am up the orme tomorrow for the PSSA event. One trouble with having a nurse as a wife - and blessing too of course
