I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

GBR/CAA F3P Comp - Sth Elmsall - 5th Feb 2012
Next Sunday I will head along to South Elmsall, Wakfield for the final round of this winters GBR/CAA F3P League.
To up the pressure Matt Hoyland has just sent pics of the trophies up for grabs
I am currently 3rdin my class so im off to read up on the rules to see if I have any chance of the league win. (must fly better than today though)

Easy, I could hit it blindfold - I could even hover over it first now thanks to my tuition from the boy wonder yesterday ( thanks BTW )

Ta,
Well As most of you know I travelled down Saturday night, what a journey that was 117 miles in 4hr 10mins. Anyway thats for another time.
I met up with Dave Kirk, Gaz Holland and Brian Holford in the pup just in time for a couple of pints and a chat before I tucked myself in bead for the night.
Woke up this morning and looked out of the window
30mins later we were at the venue along with a few other pilots and event organisers but no hall staff to open up, As you can see the conditions were perfect for a Indoor comp
Not to be put off a few of us broke out the shokkies and had a fly in the snow, I had the first flight of the morning with the star of the show my little UMX Decathlon.
Anyway, around 9.30 we got in the hall and cracked on, Once again my lack of consistency cost me and after 2 rounds I was 4th, I then put in a couple of good rounds to climb to 3rd and consolidated that with a strong finish in round 5.
The silver wear
Some models (I came home with one of these, can you guess what)
My fav of the day, A very very nice Dinna from Andy Whitehead 88grm RTF and flew like it was on rails.
and another couple of new models from Andy with Gaz Holland paint jobs, for 4 site/extra gear
Im pretty pleased to be fair when I think were I was with the schedule flying back in Dec @ EIM Paul and Brain are very consistent and desirve to be above me.
League Winners are
C - Paul Willcocks
B- Gaz Holland
A- Connor Stephenson
More to follow once the pics start coming through

Practice for the indoor comps must be a pain at least when doing it for IMAC outdoors you can get down the field and have a good session when it's blowing and have the field more or less to yourself no such luck indoors though.
