I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

duration flights comp
I was going to call it...<How long can you stay up,> but those with minds that are not as white as snow would have had a field day.So what about a comp for all.A timed motor flight say 30 secs by a Glider then soaring the longest flight wins. This could be for all, even those needing a Buddy lead.I have a Early Bird Glider,elevator/rudder I will put a Brushless in it.Happy for all to use this. This not an original idea nicked it from another site.

Re: duration flights comp
I'll join in!
Those on Mode 2 can use my Graphite as well 30 seconds of motor run should see it up at around 600metres (1950 feet!) altitude, and a glide time of around 10 minutes assuming no lift is about
Cheers
Andy

Re: duration flights comp
Andy with half the height of yours I could double your glide time easily.
I think this is a great idea, a classification could of course limit the models to a maximum wingspan, this would kick Andy, myself & anyone else with the pure electric duration gliders into touch.
with the agreement of the commitee
