I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Ive done it this time
ive gone 2.4,
after my new heli glitched itself to death, i could no longer stand it. wouldnt trust flying the heli on 35 again either. luckily the glitch was on the pitch (im a poet) wouldnt have been so happy if it took off in a random direction chopping merrily through whatever got in its way.
So i orderd myself a module and reciver from leeds model shop. next day mr postie called
I went with spektrum. first reason it seems like futaba have had their thumbs up their arses on the 2.4 front. only 3 recivers and the cheapest of those at £60.
i also really dont like the idea of having the aerial sticking out of the back of my transmitter, every time you put the thing down your putting it on the aerial. wouldnt pick one up by the aerial either.
So after a couple of hours and some fiddling about my module is installed with all of the 2.4 gubbings tucked safely inside my transmitter.
All this makes leigh a happy boy

Welcome to the UHF club Leigh
Getting rid of glitching on small electrics was my number 2 reason for trying 2.4GHz. to date it has sorted it good and proper!
(number 1 reason was for the dinky aerials too!)
Cheers

Re: Ive done it this time
Nope UHF (Ultra High frequency) is the description given to the band of the Electromagnetic spectrum that encompasses wavelengths between 0.1m and 1m (300MHz and 3GHz in terms of frequencies).
SHF (Super High Frequency) is the next band up for frequencies between 3 and 30GHz
Personally, I think a step into the EHF range of frequencies is the next big thing
Cheers

Leigh,
Have you fitted the module as per the instructions from Spectrum or have you routed the cable to the aerial through the inside of the radio so it's all hidden?

Bin there done that but not with R/C though. Suggest u try 24Ghz, an interesting lesson in plumbing I think!
