I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

Wanted - Brushed ESC? Empty Wanted - Brushed ESC?

Post by Andy Sayle 2010-05-28, 08:32

Morning all,

I don't suppose anyone has an Brushed ESC lying around gathering dust, from back in the day when Speed 600's and nicads were all the rage have they? It needs to be rated at about 25 amps or more, and must have a BEC onboard too (i.e. not an "opto" type one).

I have a few beer tokens waiting for a good 'un Smile

Cheers

They're all coming out of the woodwork now!

I have several - A new Jeti 30A, a slightly used Jeti 35A, a new Protech 18A and a somewhat dubious looking Sun 30A. All have BEC

Both the Jeti's are for up to 12 NiCd cells and the others 10 cell

You're welcome to the 4-40 btw

Oooh, that;s a point, I need it to be able to cope with a 3s lipo on the input side...

Cheers for the offers guys, looks like I'll be able to select the best one from a Bunch Smile

Couldnt you install a in-line li-po cut off?
I think I have seen them for the brushed SC class cars while using 2s li-po

The issue may be more about maximum permissible input voltage rather than LVC

Nah, I agree about the whole LVC lipo cutoff thing actually - I never rely on them, and always use a timer to land way before the cut off point.
