Inter-Club Funfly event Invitation May 17th 2015

Just back from the first of hopfully many Inter club funfly events. Great day with lots of good flying from pilots of all abilities.

RDMFC members, Tim, Jem, and Me supported by Roy and Andy S battled it out across 3 events against Sleap MFC, Newport FC and Tyldesly MFC.

After 3 events, spot landing, tripple thrash and touch and go RDMFC came home a very credible 2nd in the team event. TMFC cleaned up in team and indervidual events.

The battle of pride within the RDMFC members was won out by Tim who beat myself and Jem in Tripple Trash and Touch and go's. Myself winning the spot landing (2nd overall in that event)

Had a right laugh and learnt a lot. Roll on the next one.

Yep - great day out, and all the RDMFC crew did us proud. Thanks to PB and support for organising it, Jem for lending me a 'plane to use, and Mark for gluing the whole team together.
Its been a loooong time since I flew IC, - and aeros, let alone in competition with a model only flown once before, but it brought back good memories of 30 years ago in my old club at Worcester.
Roll on the next event, and where are the upcoming younger pilots in RDMFC that can add to the team??

Well said Tim. lets get more involved was a good laugh and a good range of models from comp spec funflys to Foam Trainers, large petrol model and even a retro 70`s aerobat

We really need, as a club, more people to step up to the plate. A few names were discussed yesterday between Jem and myself on the drive home and yours was one of them. If anyone fancies a go just say so. Seems a fair few members moan about lack of club activity etc yet we still struggle to get just 3 fliers at a fun fly !

Hoppfuly the next event will be held at RDMFC, so along with our Monthley club night events we should get a few more intrested.

No special equipment needed any model is capable of doing touch and go`s or limbo. the only thing required is willingness to give it ago,

somone needs to take my place on the team anyway as Im retiring after getting beat by Tim.

Should also say well done to Jem who was first up in every round , I know he doesnt belive me but it was nothing to do with me he would have been much further up the board had he had the oppertunity of watching a few attemps first to have a chance of knowing what he was doing.

Official results recived from PB. 1 point for a win 2 for secound etc etc all 3 rounds counting. Seems Tim didnt beat me overall hahahahaha get in normality restored

Hang on... just off to write my own figures on a plain piece of paper and photo it.

What we really need is a picture of the results of each of the three comps showing individual placements.

Haha i will get them off Bardoe my 2nd in spot landing has helped a lot in the overall result lol
