St Asaph Car and Bike Show

Being as the weather was pants this morning I hauled myself and my camera off to Trefnant for the above show, same field as we displayed on last "summer?". Who should I bump into but Ianto / Ian Reid proudly displaying his classic Velocette

Just one more shot from the show, which was a great event by the way, posted this cus I know Mark and Rich will enjoy oh and Will Bertoni as well. I won't post anymore as they're not exactly modelling related.

I always regretted selling my RS Mexico MK1, last of the AVO Escorts.

This is another nice tool that was there Ultima GTR, apparently holds the world record for 0-100-0 mph

Nice shots Bri, no issue here with car and bike shots on here I think most of us are closkt petrol heads too

Here's a few of a nice Lotus, I think actually it's a Caterham badged up as a Lotus

Finally a little Ford "rod" pickup although it had a Chevy lump in it, this was actually out in the car park and not on the show field

Always loved the mk1 escorts.

The doors are on the wrong way round on that hotrod. Suicide doors are the way forward! I wonder if I could get them for my van.....

Insomnia strikes again, so I thought I'd edit a couple more shots from yesterday. Danny can fill his boots with the first one





Second one's a slightly older horizontal flat four (boxer) engined rally car that was doing the full Monte two years after I was born, it's a Jowett Javelin

There's more, I quite fancy this Chevy Pickup for hauling my trailer to the field

And finally folks for trike lovers everywhere

I once bought a chopped Jowett Javlin from "Pop" Owen in Llandudno when I was 14 - paid £12 for it, and me and schoolmates used to keep it up at the gunsites on the orme, and go racing it around every day after school. It had flames painted on the bonnet, along with a decent color scheme - looked ace!
Went up one day, and some bar stewards had pushed it over the edge of the sea cliff - the "bones" of it can still be seen today :-(
Happy days.... had a proper "experience" up there one sunny afternoon too ooo er missus.
