I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Packaging tape
Where is the best place to get some decent packaging tape for covering foam wings? I got some stuff ages ago, but its crap! Its like cloudy sellotape, and will seriously take about six coats to make it opaque!

Re: Packaging tape
The stuff stan at Phoenix Model Products sells is top quailty tape. It lasts a lot longer than packing tape too.
That said, packing tape is rubbish. Laminating film is the best stuff to use!

Leave it bare EPP if low weight is the ultimate aim.....

Re: Packaging tape
So is good looks, or light weight the priority?
Bare EPP = looks crap, super light weight
Packing tape = looks not bad to start with, looks rubbish after a few of your landings, adds a bit of weight
Lam film = looks great for years and years, adds a bit more weight, but not that much really, and the chances are the added wingloading will help in the blustery conditions found round and about Rhyl anyway....
