I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

Unconfermed reports of a Red Arrow lost down South at a display no other info at this time.Here and

Dosent look good this amount of time after the crash and no word. Either very badley injered or worse

It was Red 4 which was Dave Davies from Llysfaen for2 years but I've made enquiries and Dave's number is now Red 8 and he's on the last year of his tour with the Reds

I saw the display on my way home from Poole yesterday about 1600 they were just doing the fan, so the timings on the link can't be right unless it was lost on the way to the show

I think they may have been flying two displays today Rich, the info I have was that the crash was around 13.30 and was during the display. There's supposed to be an announcement within the hour.

RIP John Egging


The crash was after todays display on route back to Bournemouth airport. Flight Leut John Edding was pronounced dead at the scene. MOD say he was thrown from the reckage

Reds are down for several displays at Bournmouth from Thursday to Sunday Rich

Terribly sad news, we met him and the others at the southport airshow a couple of weeks back, spent 20 minutes chatting to us at our table - nice guy.
Sincere condolences to his family, and the rest of the team who will be gutted.

Not a good day for display pilots yesterday Bryan Jensen crashed and died in his Horizon Hobby sponsored full size Beast yesterday at an airshow in Kansas City Crying or Very sad
