I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Aerotow 2010 - August 14th/15th
Afternoon folks.
Just a reminder that the club is holding its annual Aerotow event on the 14/15th August. It will be a nice informal event, flying off the peg unless anyone wants to request any solo slots. Obviously there will be tugs on hand if you have any gliders that you want towing up, and there will be a few models on buddy boxes too for anyone to have a go. We are hopefully going to be having a few competitions on, such as climb and glide, maybe something like a limbo competition, and possibly even a raffle, so if anyone has anything they would like to donate as prizes, just give me a shout.
Weather dependant, we shall be firing up the Barbeque too. We'll do a burger run on the day to make sure we don't have mountains of food left over.
Flying will be from 10am until it goes dark, and if you want to fly after dark, you can with the quiet stuff.
If anyone has any other suggestions for the weekend, or questions, just shout!
Cheers
Andy

I'll have a little electric Tug available that should cope with small stuff (it's my Funcub!)... Got a little towhook to go in the Mini DLG too,

Everyone enjoys a good tugging session, although tying things up with string is a bit "specialist" for my liking....
For those thinking that they don't have anything that can be aerotowed, then if you have a sloper, it can be aerotowed. I'm working on a patented release mechanism that will allow anything to be aerotowed, so long as it has a hook mounted (doesn't need a release mechanism or anything!) It should be ready for testing in the next week or so!

You can fit the patented release to my Wilga because that gives a real high powered but slow tug
Re: Aerotow 2010 - August 14th/15th
Just the ticket
It should be light enough to be lofted behind pretty much any plane, ranging from a big Wilga, to a little dinky MiniMag, or Easy Cub....
Colin, we don't normally arrange for a portaloo, due to the cost. We normally rely on the fence, or KFC/McDonalds down the road.
Sam, If I don't see you before, I'll make sure I have a maaasive stack of magazines for you, make sure you have a wheel barrow to carry them!

I hope to be there. If there's a shortage of tugs let me know and I'll modify my Wot4. A bit underpowered and small but perhaps better than nothing. Next year should have at least one much better tugging machine!
