I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Marty the Mustang
LOL- heres my mate and recent club member Marty Ball with his latest toy.
Ripmax Mustang.
After a few hours in the Mackey skunkworks, we had the motor and rest of the gear fitted, and were planning a maiden flight or three at the field. As the wind was increasing, we decided to "do the Orme" instead, so, with a few slopers loaded, we whipped the prop off and added it to the fleet.
Flew very nicely, and will make a nice addition to the growing collection of Rippy WW1 stuff that double up very nicely as both flat field and soaring models.

Re: Marty the Mustang
Think you may find it's WW11 (the Hun in their Eindekers and Fokkers would have been completely outclassed by a Mustang)

Re: Marty the Mustang
ooops of course I meant WW2 - must have been the appearance of the owner that made me think of WW1

Re: Marty the Mustang
Well guys what can I say? I spent, seemingly hours watching Tim do his magic with his lathe to get the prop right and then screwing lumps of lead onto the nose (hope the choir in the local church wear waterproofs if it rains ) And then we take the Prop Off and go and chuck the mustang off a cliff!
Thank you Tim for your time and patience.
I hope to show off the Mustang this week at the field.

Welcome buddy Just glad she flew well and you like it. Should look good at the field with the spit - someone better buy the 109 now
