I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ

Marty's Wild Thing
The blame for this thread lays squarely in the Lap of Tim & Jem who are both responsible for getting me hooked on the Wildthing!
The model was given it's maiden yesterday afternoon at the Orme. The wind was about 20 mph NNE. & chilly
About an hours air time after Tim sorted out the cleaver stuff with the radio program. (Thanks again Tim).
The colour scheme may change but here is a photo after its maiden, (I know you all know what the WT looks like but I 'spose I'm like a proud Dad showing of his lastest child! LOL):

All that yellow reminds me of my Van!
The wind was a bit nippy yesterday, wasn't it? A few of us were down at the field (with only one true man brave enough to be wearing shorts, although modesty prevents me from saying who).....
Did you get the elevators the right way around this time?!
Andy

Andy, Shorts .... yesterday? .... nutter
, and as for elevators, checked, double checked, Tim checked, I asked a hiker to have a look as well! (I'lll never make that mistake again ... maybe lol)
Mark, I just love the wildthing and I think it could be Marty proof! lol
(Whats the chances of getting the farmer to agree to us building our own slope at the field?)

Re: Marty's Wild Thing
And I should add that Marty is coming on a treat at the 'ol sloping lark - apart from the first maiden /trimming flight he did all his stunts, ending the days fun with a very nice landing almost at his feet ( right side up too! )

I can't wait to get home now and have a real play, the Xeno is "OK" but a bit fragile, Tim only flew in into the deck at about 20 mph! lol, seriously, the Xeno is fragile so the wild thing gives me a little more confidence.
