I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Club night - 9th August
The weather is looking like it is going to be fantastic for the club night this evening! I'll be heading over at about 5pm after work, anyone else coming down?

Re: Club night - 9th August
Two consecutive club nights in the same month can't be bad. There was lots going on at the field with new stuff all over the place here's some shots for those who didn't make it you missed a great evening with plenty of both fixed wing heli's and gliders.

Re: Club night - 9th August
Was a wicked night, loads of good flying going on and lots of pukka BBQ grub
Love Marty`s DLG, Andy`s new glider is awsome, Jem is flying brilliantly, Rich had a huge piece of foam Cr&p, and I still cant get a plane to work properly.
Heck Stubbsy even turned up

Re: Club night - 9th August
Edited a few more shots this morning, I think the only thing i forgot to shoot was the bun fest at Mr Badham's BBQ which as all the others have said was excellent.
Re: Club night - 9th August
Been experimenting with some new software and have used it on this shot of Jay's heli, it's the same shot as the one back up the thread. The treatments known as HDR stands for High Dynamic Range and just wondered what some of you guys might think
Re: Club night - 9th August
Brian, I think the first one (the one up the screen) looks better, to me it looks sharper and the colours are richer.
Re: Club night - 9th August
Cheers Marty, thanks for the opinion if I didn't want an answer I wouldn't have asked.
Re: Club night - 9th August
What is this new program supposed to do?
ps, you know me by now Brian, not very subtle but honest ...lol

Re: Club night - 9th August
With this shot Marty I started with the one image but then with the software created another two images, the first 2 stops over exposed and the second two stops under exposed and then all three are merged and you can then manipulate them to create varying effects. As an alternative with most high end cameras you can set the camera up to shoot three images but when shooting fast moving objects like a model heli in burst mode it's probably easier to do it within the software.
Re: Club night - 9th August
Personal Ive never really liked HDR, alot of the full size camera guys use it and only rarely do I think it looks better.
A good photo is a good photo without the need for over editing like all the previous ones posted.

Re: Club night - 9th August
I know nothing about Photos but I suppose it depends on the end effect the photographer is after, The one thing about "art" is no one can say it is wrong! I personally prefer the first shot posted and I agree with Mark, I good photo is a good photo.
The idea of mixing the same photo is fasinating! very "Andy Wohol"

I thought there was something dodgy when he said I could have them as he had not use for them, anyway they work perfect thanks Andy
