As I keep saying .... I've been away from modeling for a long, long time Diversity of Gliding Sleep
I'm discovering things daily and I'm loving it! I've stumbled across DS! I just gotta have a go at that!
Anybody in the Club doing it?
Would my Xeno stand up to it?

Dynamic soaring relies on a well defined shear layer in the airflow that you are flying in, so that usually means sites with sharp ridges, defined edges etc etc. I'm no expert, but places like Rushup Edge in Derbyshire is going to make a cracking DS site when the wind is directly perpendicular to the ridge...

I have heard of people DS'ing using things like treelines, walls etc. I have had a few attempts using the sea wall at Pensarn in a northly, with my Alula. I failed miserably.....

From what I've been reading quite small features can be used, as you say, tree lines also small humps, walls and even house roof lines .... Diversity of Gliding Icon_eek
Is there anyone in the Club into this?
