I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Tuesday 20th Jan
Got five hours up the Orme today, too windy to fly my Fox but enjoyed flights with Tim's Wild Thing and Richie's RB1 when he popped in for a lunch break, managing to bounce both of them quite hard. Must get plenty of practice in before I cut loose with my Wasabi when it arrives

Bugger indeed. I was stuck in work, but it still warrants cursing under my breath! Pesky work getting in the way of all things fun.... Still, I had a couple of flights of the Blade mCX at lunchtime in the office, and I'm going for some more in a moment!
Cheers

Re: Tuesday 20th Jan
Will do Andy but it will have to be in kinder conditions than I've seen on the Orme on my last couple of visits getting back on the green stuff up there sure ain't easy
Re: Tuesday 20th Jan
for interest out of the six up on the Orme today I think five were Mode 1, I knew the M2ers were still in the minority..!!
Re: Tuesday 20th Jan
Out of interest Rich, what were the (approximate) ages of the Mode 1-ers?
I know what you mean about landing Bri, I came to the conclusion that the best way to get that big yellow thing of mine down was to pick a spot, and literally fly it into the deck. I got into more trouble trying to do the usual poncing around flat field style landing than that. It does help having a pretty robust airframe to fly it into the deck though
What sort of construction is that Wasabi anyway?
Cheers

Re: Tuesday 20th Jan
I met that that many new faces today and alzheimers being what it is I'm finding it hard to remember names and where I live anyway I think it was Ron lost a model down over the front rockface this morning, went home for lunch came back with pukka climbing boots and a rope and belayed himself down to retrieve his downed model, made of stern stuff is Ron or was it Don no I think it was Ron. Anyway I got home ok as I knew it was along past the flying field somewhere, look for the big house with no roof and two flags on the front wall
Yeh Andy I've deffo got to work on my skills up there. The Kimosabi is I think glass with some carbon reinforcing in critical areas, hope it's 2.4 friendly

Re: Tuesday 20th Jan
couldn't possibly comment on someones age, however there was a lot of experience up there
Re: Tuesday 20th Jan
That's another thing I can't remember ......My age I could be much older than I think I am
Re: Tuesday 20th Jan
It should be nice and toucht hen Brian, unless it has been built really light (a bit like that Filip fuselage of mine that I kept breaking last year!)
Ah, Experience. The one thing that, by definition, you don't have until it is too late!
Cheers
