Edge turned up

My new toy from Peak Models China turned up just six days after ordering, was actually in Parcel Force Deeside on Friday, can't be bad. It's a fifty cc Edge 540T to replace my Wildhare Edge that I dinged a couple of months back. Well chuffed with it qualities good no transit damage and all for a smidge over £300 at the exchange rate I got and no carriage either Checking it all over there's no manual turned up with it but it's just the usual ARTF put together so I don't envisage any problems other than knowing where the C/G needs to be

I've shot Peak an email for the C/G probably won't get a reply till tomorrow, being as they're kipping now, rest looks pretty straight forward. All the hardware's good to go only thing I'll use off the old W/H is the tank and my SWB servo outputs I'm thinking of repairing the old Edge taking the landing gear off ballasting the front and giving it the PSS off the Orme, if I do it'll probably be winter 2010/11

Looks nice Brian, as far as thee manual goes if it's enything like the one I had with my PM Edge it would have been more of a joke than anything. As far as manuals go it was about as usefull as a chocolate fireguard!

No it won't be quite that quick Mike, we've got a new puppy in the house and finding time for the model isn't going to be easy however got the motor mounted and the landing gear on and just about to fit the cowl , ignition and fuel tank

Well inbetween puppy walking and feeding I've just about got the Edge ready to maiden. Checked the C/G last night which was spot on what they give as a starting point, without moving any gear around from where I'd first slung it, and I've got plenty of scope for nudging it back which is usually the case after the first few trimmng flights So ALL I need now is a window in the weather Looking more likely to be up the Orme for some slope action

Why not bring it along...we will find out if it slopes

Ran a tank full through the Edge today and set things up ready for the maiden, idle down, and throttle cut etc. Was a bit of a sod to start I think the fuel in the tank had gone a bit stale but got there in the end
