I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

You should find all you need in the BMFA handbook - except of course the acquired skill itself
Almost any reasonable trainer model will suffice as advance aerobatics etc are NOT required for an A test.

At our club you shouldn't really taxi in and out of the pits. It is okay to start your model and carry it out to the taxiway, and then taxi out from there. On returning, it is usual to cut your engine at the the end of the taxiway, and carry your model back to your area in the pits.
I'm in the process of sorting out an area on this forum for storing our local site flying rules which have this information in (and more). Once it is up, I'll let you know.
Hope that helps.

PS. the taxiway is the 2-3metre wide strip of cut grass that goes from the pits area to the strip in the middle of the field.

Just to clarify, you can taxi from the first right hand bend towards the strip, then coming back towards the pits you must stop & cut the engine before or a the bend before turning left & heading towards the pits.
