I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Re: Freestyle Masters 29 and 30 April
The general competition format and basic rules are below.
Competition Date: 29th - 30th April 2017
Venue: Skelmersdale Model Aircraft Club - WA8 9TH.
The event is loosely based upon the rules of Zone Format, a very successful helicopter competition.
This is a freestyle competition to music, with no set manoeuvres.
Each judged flight will be 4 minutes long. Pilots will be randomly allocated into groups of 8.
The below programme is based upon 32 pilots, over a 2 day competition, ensuring a minimum of 62 flights!
The programme is subject to change, depending on the number of entrants.
*****Group Stage (Saturday)*****
32 Pilots (8 groups of 4 pilots).
Each pilot will perform two flights, 1 in the morning session and 1 in the afternoon. The top two pilots with the highest scores will go through to Sunday's knockout rounds. Flights are judged using a scoring system already adopted for other freestyle competitions, further details TBA.
*****Preliminary Knockout Stage - 16 Pilots (Sunday Morning Session)*****
The 2nd round will put the best 8 pilots from group A, with the runner up 8 pilots from Group B, and so on... Pilots will compete back to back, with the best pilot going through to the quarter finals. Scoring is simple, 1 point will be awarded to the judges preferred pilot, and the pilot with the most points wins the round.
*****Quarter Final Knockout Stage (Sunday Afternoon Session)*****
The quarter finals will see the 8 winning pilots from the previous round fight out for the semi final places.
*****Semi Final Knockout Stage (Sunday Afternoon Session)*****
The semi finals will see the 4 winners of the quarter finals flight out for a place in the final!
*****Final Knockout Stage (Sunday Afternoon Session)*****
2 Pilots - FINAL!
The two best pilots go all out over 4 minutes for the winners trophy!
*****1 Trick Contest (Lunch Session - both days)*****
Each pilot would perform a single ‘trick’. Take off, 1 circuit, then perform the trick! Then land (or collect the bits…) Scoring will be via the crowd using scorecards from 1-10 !
*****General Rules*****
Fixed wing only.
You can change aircraft for each round.
Music will NOT form part of the judging criteria.
No size restriction (may change depending on the host site).
Engines must be well silenced, preferably over 30cc should use a good quality canister system.
*****The following items/functions are not permitted*****
Snap roll buttons with automatic timing mode.
Pre-programming devices to automatically perform a series of commands.
Auto-pilots or gyros for automatic wing leveling or other stabilisation of the model aircraft.
Automatic flight path guidance; propeller pitch change with automatic timing mode.
Any type of learning function involving manoeuvre to manoeuvre or flight to flight analysis.
No control device, function or piece of equipment should leave the pilot without complete control of their aircraft.
