I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Hi all,
I will be looking to join you in the New Year 2017. To give you an insight to who I am, I work as a QA engineer in Prismmedical UK, I have good experience in electronics and have a technical mind with a mad sense of humour. I have a Boy 6 years and a wife that puts up with me, Just.
I love flying but due to being diabetic getting a pilot’s licence would not be an option for me. I have always dreamed of flying literally so the next best thing for me is the new wold of FPV Drones.
I have a phantom 3 pro I like flying for Camera shots, also I have spent times in my shed I call my lab with a bottle of red wine building a FPV racing drone then crashing it and rebuilding crashing it again, good job I am good a building stuff. Now with less crashing unless I try tricks I am not doing badly but as I am not in my shed as much missing my bottle of red wine. I am enjoying the world of FPV flying and that is where the club comes in. I am joining the club for safety reasons for others and to be with people like yourselves that like to fly Models and Quads. I want to learn and practice and tune my Quads without worry that dogs, walkers, and others do not understand that I am keeping away from them for safety. I would love to race my Quads one day but like they say one step at a time.
I am building another Quad in my lab so I have a second just incase I crash and end up with a Quad looking like a hanging mobile from a celling with its motors dangling from its wires and a smoking Lipo battery.
I am looking forward to being accepted as one of your members.
See you all soon I hope

Re: BoLt
Welcome to the forum Bolt ! It sounds like you will fit right in.
I am sure one of the committee members will be able to explain, the club also have indoor flying activity during the winter months in a sports hall, they only just started yesterday ! (Sorry I missed it Andy) !
Might be worth re posting under a different heading or maybe one of the admins will move your post.
Cheers

Re: BoLt
Welcome to the forum/club!
As Zaidy says, we have got an indoor flying event sorted for the winter season. We are flying on a saturday afternoon at the leisure centre in Kinmel Bay, 3pm till 6pm. It's a 4 badminton court sized hall, so just about big enough to fly a 250 quad around carefully. There's a few of us going to be sorting out some micro fpv quads (tiny whoop! I'm told they are called) for some indoor fpv racing.
We've got one session left this year, on saturday 17th. Then it is closed until it starts up in the new year on the 7th january. Only £5 (£6 for non RDMFC members) for 3 hours. Bargain! \There's quite a diversity of models being flown (and some being driven too!) in there, so feel free to come down, if you just want to watch, it's free (you might be asked to get the tea on though)...
