I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

Morning All.

I've been in touch with a Nice Lady called Vivienne Mooney, and she has been telling me about an event she is organising for the Penmaenmawr Tourist Association over the August Bank Holiday weekend this year. Here's some information:

I am the secretary of Penmaenmawr Tourist Association and also head organiser of the Wales at War 1940 weekend in Penmaenmawr. On August Bank Holiday 29th 30th and 31st we will be turning the clock back once again to 1940. I pass your members regularly and today thought I might approach you to invite you to come along on that weekend to show the public your wonderful planes.

Your members would get free passes to the dance and I know you would all enjoy the battles and vehicles if you agree to come. I look forward to your answer and hope you would like to join us. Free camping is available for anyone who wishes to come.

It sounds like a good do, especially if you are into your World War Two stuff Smile I think it maight be the same weekend as the nationals? If anyone is interested, please either post here, or let me know. I need to give her an idea of whether anyone can make it or not.

Cheers

I could attend I guess - is she after a flying demo or merely static?

To be honest, I'm not entirely sure! I've asked for more details, but not heard back yet. I assume it is going to be a static display.....

Not wanting to throw a spanner in the works but I think this is the same weekend as the display at Rhyl Lifeboat Station, although I won't be there I'm flying at the Nats this year.

Wow, it's going to a be a busy weekend!

Given the choice, I would rather go do the Rhyl Lifeboat display (if they'll have us back!!!). I had a really good time there last year. That said, I've never been to the Nats, so who knows!
