I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Italian soaring club
Recently I was on holiday in Italy & while driving in the hills above our resort I came across a group of modellers after spotting a large model glider some distance off ! great hour there & got chatting in English too . They mostly use electric power despite the fact that they are 3000-4000 ft in height, the lift is very scratchy. One unfortunate 'pure glider' pilot had a long walk downhill to retrieve his model along with only a broken wingtip! I could see the logic in using electric thermals. They don't do PSS because as I was told " we don't have the winds like you in the UK!" Great bunch of people who also seem to bring along their ladies who spend their time on sun loungers wearing bikinis!!! I was told to bring a glider on my next visit ! The link below hopefully will give an idea of this wonderful location. Try a search for "Mottarone aero " & you may find more.

Re: Italian soaring club
Noticed in the vid they still have long aerials on the transmitters, perhaps 2.4Ghz hasn't reached Italy yet.
