I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

No idea Dan I'll give it a spin on google later. I think it had a V8 lump in it, sounded really sweetMr Moff wrote:That lancia is stunning.
What BM is that? Never seen one before.
Re: Three Castles Rally
Got it straight away on google, amazing how many models BMW have knocked out over the years. Anyway this was it :- 1951-64 BMW 501 2.6L V8 sedan, until 1955 bodied by Baur
Re: Three Castles Rally
Wow that was quick, thanks Brian.
Gonna have a read up about it. It almost looks familiar until you see the BM badge.
Got any other gems?

This Tiger was nice, I serviced one on the "Welsh" back in the day, it rolled down one of the many mega slopes in Penmachno but we limped it to the finish in S.Wales but it was a write off when we got it home
Re: Three Castles Rally
Another personal favorite cus I had one myself was this Mk1 Lotus Cortina, I can tell by the rear ride height that this one had been converted to leaf springs on the rear as the original spec as mine was was an "A" frame with coil springs at the rear which was not really suitable for hard stage rallying. The original spec was mainly a track/tarmac setup which gave a lower rear ride height. Happy days I sold mine for £175 :-(
Re: Three Castles Rally
A final couple of gems that I liked, the Aston DB2 I just loved the proportions of this Aston and the Riley special I love the modern cycling drinks bottle in the leather pannier bag
Re: Three Castles Rally
I always wanted a lotus cortina,or a sunbeam. Mmm.
Awesome pics Brian.

I always thought white cars are for people who weren't sure what gender they are.

Allow me to educate you Rich;
White car pink trim = gender uncertainty = Michael Jackson
White car black trim = gender certainty = cool dude .....
