I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

Hi folks!

After a bit of discussion with my sources, We've had an idea. A good idea IMHO. Especially, if like the boy barnes, you like torches.

The club has always done a Thursday club night every Thursday throughout the summer months, at the field. In the winter, it drops to once a month, and it is indoors. With the advent of things like multi-rotors and leds, night flying is now bloody good fun. So, how about running club nights every Thursday, throughout the year, at the field. When the light fades early, we break out the torches and LEDs, and fly at night! Simple.

Obviously, it is going to be weather dependent, but then it can't be any worse than in the summer months. So guys, get yourself something to fly in the dark, some warm clothes and a decent torch, and Thursday night club nights shall continue through the winter too!

Oh, and on the official 1st Thursday of the month, how about we start off at the field, then retire to the pub after?
