Control Line Day Reminder

Hi folks

Just a reminder that the Control Line Day is on the 2nd August - 2 weeks from today

Dig out those models!

Does Den sell any control line models to take a Zenoah 62?  

Lol! You would need to fly it on steel hawsers!   

If you're going to fly a Z62 on C/L invest in a parachute

for the model or the pilot lol or maybe both !!!!  

Perhaps a concrete plinth for the pilot to hang on to as he tames the beast!

Well, I've just been looking at the forecast. Unfortunately at this moment it doesn't look too brill but fingers crossed

As this is the first time we've had a C/L day I've no idea of the level of interest so my plan was to be at the field by 9.30 and to arrange flying as people arrived

If people from our club want to meet up at the Whistle Stop Cafe I'm up for that

I've no interest in control line but will be there to help & have a go, I'm sure it can't be that hard releasing a model tied to a bit of wire

I want to do some stills of a control line from below...

Rich wants to do the same, upsidown from an uncontroled distance away

I was thinking that lying on the ground, under the flight path, camera in hand, and try to get a photo of the control line whizzing past, with a quad above.....

Is this event Saturday or Sunday? Allan's first post on this thread dated Sunday July 20th says two weeks from "today" but August 2nd is Saturday

Its definitely Saturday the 2nd

Its a bit windy down here, but nice and warm. No rain for a while now! I've had a flight with the quad in the wind, which was nice...

Well, a late start due to the weather and I'm sure the horrendous forecast and very wet start to the day put off many but after the weather improved Brian, visitor Dave Lane and myself with Brian Colclough and And Sayle earlier had some great flying! Piccies to follow...
