I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

Post by Mark Barnes 2010-01-12, 22:41

Guys,

Can i just give everyone a polite reminder to you all (including me) that we do have some younger members on here!

Ive been guilty of not turning on the word cencer for some of the more colourful words, so i will do it now, can we also be sure the content we post is sutible for all ages!

Please can we all just have a quick re read of our posts before we press send and have a think "would i want my child reading/asking questions about that"

Thanks guys

I am sorry if I have offended anyone, but I am sure some of our younger members can teach us a thing or two.
Since this has been brought up, why don't we have an over 18 board so some of the grown ups (I am not one of them) can post freely without having to worry about younger readers.

Just a suggestion

Regards for sunny Thailand.

We have considered that Zaidy, and are looking into it. I'm not sure if the forum software can set permissions based on ages, but we'll see.

The main thing to remember, is that this board is intended to be used by all members, both current and future. For that reason, we should really try and keep the content posted suitable for all ages. And don't forget that just because you think something is acceptable, others may not.

This has been brought about by some threads that are approaching being a little bit too "adult", so it is intended to be proactive in encouraging people to think about what they are posting.

I would also like to remind everyone that if something does genuinely offend, or you think it is not suitable for everyone, let me or Mark know, and we can do something about it!

Cheers guys!

The complaints ive had are more to do with word censoring than spesific posts so no need to get out underware in a twist, im the bigest culprit on that score anyway, and they were directed at me!

I see it as not for Sam as he seems to be down with us all anyway, but it did get me thinking that we may in the future have prospective new junior members joing the forum for a look at the club with there parents looking over there shoulder, and i for one dont want them thinking were a bunch of crude/rude inderviduals (they will find that out in due course anyway)

Remember although this forum isnt run by the "club" it dose reflect what gose on at the club

, I had the polite reminder so thought id pass it on

Well put Mark, the point is very valid. The forum is a show case to outsiders and seems forgotten by some wearing blinkers.

PS And before someone jumps in, yes I did edit Marks post so that the relevant part I was responding too was highlighted.
