I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

The luck is with me at the mo, I had what has to be the great escape of the day, ran my Yak out of fuel it was that rich after only 10 mins, seemed to float nicely (not water float) & land in some really soft, tall stuff in a nearby field, just a wooden prop was all the damage could of easily been a right off.

Lucky indeed! A few of us could see it all unfold from the Pits, and were all almost shouting "Don't even think of stretching that glide to the strip"!

aye was lucky on 2 counts, great landing, and the highly combustable corn somehow didnt burst into atomic flames and end life as we know it What a Face
