I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Re: British Nationals weekend
Back from a great weekend at the Nats, good to meet up with lots of fellow fliers. Had some cracking nights in the hanger, what flying I saw was all top draw and on e again the pylon racing was epic and really pleased for my now traditional camping Partner Nathen Atteridge getting second in the Q40 class.
Bar was really busy as normal and both indoor flight lines were busy till the early hours as normal, some very talented young kids in there flying shockies.
Great response from everyone inuding the BMFA on quadcopters as well which was interesting they were more concerned about people flying foamies around the camp than gps quads, but strange that no one really selling them there.

First time I've been. Although only for the day I was very impressed by the laid back and informal atmosphere, the great range of traders and the variety of things going on. The C/L flying was a nice change, as was the pylon racing. And the freedom to just drive from section to section was great. Definitely going next year - with a suitable free flighter for the mass launch!

Re: British Nationals weekend
I got some nice shots of the free flight stuff from above with the multi-rotor, when I tried to load the video to my laptop gutted that the file was corrupt, gutted.
Like Mark says I met with the chief safety officer on Thursday afternoon to ask his opinion on multi-rotor aircraft he responded with a very positive stance insisting the BMFA are looking very closely at the new side of the hobby, they are soon to introduce an achievement scheme test for them whereby the candidate will do a test similar to the heli A although all GPS & stabilisation will have to be turned off for the duration of the test.
