2018-07-07, 21:07 by Gary M Jones

I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

Took the undercart off the Yak today fell short of the strip.

My fault, gutted.

The FPV with camera seemed to run fine today good shots, the micro sd card only recorded the data not the actual video footage of the event.

That would be why we couldn't see any pictures then Rich!

I had a couple of flights, one on the goggles, and one not. I'm starting to get more comfortable flying with the googles on now, and I'm also getting more familiar with the TBS discovery airframe too. It still needs a bit of tweaking to get the setup bang on, but it's not far off methinks.

Here's a couple of snapshots anywa, not of the field (there's only so many aerial shots of the field I can take!). Instead, they are some from a sunset flight in Rhuddlan.

They are alright at forum resolution, but a bit grainy at full res. Methinks the little Hero is only really any good for stills in nice bright sunlight! It's got me thinking about a quad for lofting a decent DSLR though....
