I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Re: Saturday 2 May
It certainly was a good afternoon Nice to See Bob G's little EDF delta thingy getting a wriggle on (what model is that by the way, I like it so much, I am almost tempted to buy one in celebration of having a job on tuesday )
Allan W's Rapier caught my eye too. I do like a good delta, and that looked ripe for an E-conversion, stuffing with Lipo's and trying to break the sound barrier!
Oh, I had another few flights with the Boomer too
Andy
PS. Leigh, what was the name of the four stroke glowplugs you were saying are really good?

Cheers Leigh.
I'm going to invest in a handful of them to keep as spares. That grounding lead on my turbine had come unsoldered too. There were little balls of solder on the side of the engine I'm going to use a crimped connection this time
Cheers

Re: Saturday 2 May
Yep! The pump was sticking/siezing randomly, probably causing the first flame out (although it could have been a bubble in the fuel supply too), and causing the low top end rpm.
A new pump has sorted it good and proper
I've actually stripped the old pump down, and despite it being as clean as a whistle inside, it was still a bit sticky. I measured a few things, and it turns out the gear end faces were a little roughly machined, and were binding on the pump backplate. 10 minutes lapping the end faces so they have a mirror finish (I took about 5 microns off the gear length), and the pump works better than its replacement (lower current draw, yet a better flow rate!).
I'm hoping the weather forecast for tomorrow is completely wrong, so I can get out and burn some more Kerosene!
Andy
PS. How did your IMAC comp go Rich?
