I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Full size Aerobatics
Killing time this afternoon I ended up on the British Aerobatics Association website and on checking out their events calendar found that there's a round of their championships at Sleap airfield near Shrewsbury on 12th and 13th of May. I've made an inquiry as to whether spectators are admitted but as yet have not had a reply (contact number went to voicemail) Don't know whether I'll be going yet and the pre entries are not exactly overflowing yet but I'll keep you posted. Re: Full size Aerobatics
Just had a return call from the contest director and spectators are welcome, the comp should take place mainly on the Saturday, Sunday only being booked in case of bad weather issues.
Re: Full size Aerobatics

Re: Full size Aerobatics
Thanks for the research Roy I'll keep an eye on the forecast and the entries and may pop over there for a looksee,
Re: Full size Aerobatics
The entry list has now considerably expanded although if you check the "call signs" you'll see there's quite a lot of aircraft sharing going on, due to expense this is quite common at comps. There's quite a variety of aircraft entered, sadly due to other commitments I can't now make it. ENTRY LIST
Re: Full size Aerobatics
Im still tempted to go over nice size and a cracking cafe in the control tower there.

Re: Full size Aerobatics
The DR-107 always looks a stubby little so and so to me, I think more so because of the low wing configuration. However it served it's purpose well as a "low cost" one airframe formula for aerobatics.
Re: Full size Aerobatics
Trying to deside weather to go to this or go fly at the Long Marsden Model Show, anyone else from the club going to this?
