I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

I didn't realise there were records for the DLG in the Club until Jem shouted that the way the flight I on was going I could break the record of 10 mins. At that stage I had been up about 7 or 8 mins but I started the timer anyway and the timer said 22:14 mins when I landed so my total time was in the ballpark of 29 minutes.
The Akcent 2 is going like a dream now, I love this model!
Also had a play with my Garnet but at the moment I can't get any times out of it.
Tim & Jem both had a play with the Akcent and seemed to enjo it.
Really chuffed for you Marty, keep it up's the word
The only problem is I had a witness to the screen shot of 23:18 so theoretically I still hold the record.

Re: Tuesday night gliding club
Yeah, we went and had a good 3 odd hours with winds about 35 mph to start with, then the wind started to die and the lift just "switched off", It returned later about 7 ish and I left Jem and Scotish visitor to enjoy it.
I maidened my LEG 60" U2 Ladydragon which flw like a dream so I'm well made up. I had the U2 up when the lift went and it suffered a little damage as I scrabbled to get it back.
Tim's Son in law, Gareth, was with us and flew on the buddy lead with Tim so there may be another convert!
Well impressed with that MOT testing station mate!

Maybe discount for the ones that actually fly at the field & - discount for those that don't.

YEP all the best rich and good luck.
Remember there are three rules on how to run a business.
1 The customer is always right
2 the customer is always right.
Guess what the third rule is?

Re: Tuesday night gliding club
AH yes but to make pay days possible the customer has to be or feel (Right)
Its worked for me for the last 30 years
Its just a saying I got from a succesfull company in canada some years ago.

Its saying the same thing Steve - without customers, theres no business, so treat the customer as if they are right. Another Yankee saying.....
"The customer is king" That worked for me for 30 years too
Anyhoooow...as I say waaaaay off topic here.
