I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Great Orme PSSA
I've found out that the PSSA are holding events on the Orme on --- 21 & 22 April, 16 & 17 June 13 & 14 October this year . All events are shown as meeting at the 'Tank track' @ 10:00 . Just though it may be worth a mention in case 35 meg is in use or anyone from RDMFC is about using 35 meg ( like me ! ) in another part of the sky on the Orme !

Cheers Gary, well worth a mention.
You need to spend some of that cash you have under the floorboards and upgrade to 2.4Ghz

If the wind dictates that we ( PSSA ) are flying on that particular site for the meet, then its highly likely that anyone else considering a fly would be at the same site...due to the wind direction.
We always use a small pegboard anyway, although most of us are now 2.4G
Its worth reminding peeps that ANYONE ( apart from a select few ) is very welcome at these meetings, and its totally relaxed and informal, all sorts of models are flown ( including non scale stuff such as wings etc ) throughout the day.
If you haven't experienced a PSSA meet yet, then be sure to come along and join in the fun, or simply watch and chat - we are all very friendly. )

Hi Allan, see my other post re: "Re dangerous flying on the Orme"
There are a couple of other folk who have visited the Orme occasionally in the past whose attitude is far from hospitable - they ain't welcome either

Thanks Tim.
The incident with the para/hang gliders and the member of 'joe' public is what you refer to.

Considering the dodgy forecast it was an excellent turnout, with around 18 modellers from as far as Scotland, Oxford, Stoke and so on.
Unfortunately that magnificent Antonov had an incident on the Saturday evening, so didn't fly again on Sunday. Great lift on Saturday with rain showers in-between, no rain on Sunday, with light Northerly, but swung round and got stronger from the West by about 5pm.

Can't imagine any sort of modeler not being impressed by that Antonov, hope the incident was not too damaging.

Sadly...it was. A large, hinged front access hatch came unfastened on a final curving approach, and the inrush of air to the fuselage, and severe yawing from its masquerading as an air brake caused an uncontrollable situation. There was a LOT of foam, and its going to take a lot of willpower and effort to repair her. On the plus side the shuttle flew superbly, and will be ready for its mid air release from piggy back as and when the Antonov is repaired.

More on PSS
PSS meet was good & I went Sat p.m. but missed the Antonov bump. Simon Cocker did fly a large Victor though . 3 nice Hawks flew as well as a pair of T-33's. Many other models were on show. Shame about the rain showers & variable wind but at least some good flying was had. Got some good pics. but need to learn how to post them !
