I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

300 seagulls at the field!
Re-arrange the following phrase to reveal what happened when I was practising my wheels-in knife edge passes today .
"300 Extra Seagulls are now in the trees at the flying field "
Purely a dumb thumb/brain moment
Its around 25 -30 feet up, with one wheel spat firmly lodged in a branch fork. I walked around to assess the scene, and theres no way a fat unhealthy git like me could ever hope to climb up and get it - the tree does not exactly lend itself to climbing anyway....with bare trunk for the first 10 foot or so. Shes lodged in the ditch side of the tree, dangling by her danglies, and I guess the only hope of recovery is a loooooooong Carp pole or similar, with a loop on to try and fish her down. I did lob up several branch stubs, and managed a direct hit twice...but she aint budging.
So two things.
1) If you pass by the field and its NOT visible anymore, its come down somewhere, and I would appreciate a call.
2) Ideas of how I can recover it much appreciated, and success will result in a beer token or two at the next meet.

Ok, crisis averted - Neil has done his monkey act and retrieved it - collecting in a few minutes - apparently it was another perfect Mackey landing...not a scratch on it :-)

Yup, tiny little hole in the canopy skirt - about 2mm - already covered that with a sticker
One spat cracked, but Ive removed them both now anyway - as they were a nuisance anyway.
Cheers for the help Rich

My Mistake. It was must have been when I was coming home. I went past the field 12 times yesterday. Still don't know where I was going or where I'd been!!!!!

Plan "A" when dumb thumbs strike in knife edge should always be a quarter roll to either inverted or sunny side up followed by the "correct elevator", if that fails reach for the bin bag or the tree climbing gear.
