I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

The field
I went to the field on wednesday afternoon and what a bl---y mess the cows and rain combination had made:(.
its a pity we cant somehow fence off the taxiway and pits area but I guess the farmer wouldnt allow that!

Re: The field
Just back from cutting the strip. Sadly despite the efforts of Jem and Jet Jockey Bob on Sunday, using their vehicles to roll the taxiway and pits, things are just as bad again after further rain and the efforts of the cattle.
Re: The field
A couple of land mines aught to sort it out!

Re: The field
Had a late visit on Sunday after you had gone Mark, Bob "the roller" Gadsby was busy at it, shame I didn't have a model with me.
Re: The field
Just cut the strip which is in good fettle. Have managed to roll 95% of the taxiway with the car and trailer, just a small piece by the strip that's still too wet to drive over. The pits is still basically no go area with either the mower or car Check carefully before you drive into the pits area.

Re: The field
Just been down field today with jay, Had a good fly done about 1/2 gallon on my battered yellow trex.
The field/pits have dryied out alot, I've rolled up and down with the car, and a lot smoother except for a couple of very wet bits. The pits area is actually not bad, I would say usable in areas now.

Re: The field
I was there about 7.45. Wonderful flying weather, where were you all???
Flew till the cattle ambled along then ran up and down the taxi way a few times. As Neil says it is much better and rapidly hardening up except for the soft bits which are very soft. Still rather mangled at the end of the taxiway unfortunately
