I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

It's Thursday again....
So is anyone out flying this afternoon/evening.
The Weather is currently not too bad, although the rain radar is showing some showery clouds moving upwards....

Its brightened up here now too. The rain radar on the Met Office website looks ominous though....

Do you not have a roof where you work? Still okay here at the moment, I wonder if Rhyl will miss the edge of the band of rain coming up from the south.....

I think the rain has made it to St Asaph now, fingers crossed it clears up soon!
I'm sure somebody will be about to help Gary, I'll certainly be able to set it up for you, but you would be wise to get a mode 1 jockey to double check for you

Re: It's Thursday again....
I had a mixed day yesterday with a servo packing up on the Disco' (prospective buyers of "cheapy" ARTF models beware that components are probably low grade to keep costs down...). However, Tim & Andy put their heads together and come up with some creative mixes on my Binary which kept them out of trouble for a while lol. Thanks for that Chaps.
The Binary flew well in the zero wind and even flirted with some very weak ground level thermals. I love this DLG lark!

No worries Marty!
Just remember to keep your arm straight, and use the rotation to impart speed/energy tot he model, not a flick of the wrist. Aim about 5-10 degrees above the horizon, not up at 45 degrees or more, and trim the model on teh launch setting so it converts all that speed into a nice steep climb. Level off before you stall (but not too early before the stall), and don't be afraid to keep the model cruising quickly. It is more efficient when moving quite quickly, compared to slowing it right down
