I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Sunday 7th
Determined to maiden the Extra 330 this weekend, I arrived at the field, wind was down the strip from the north west but also rain was on it's way. After putting it together I decided to go for it!! The engine hasn't been reliable for some time and this has put me off for the last 6 years! The engine started after a few flicks and seemed to be running well. I taxied it out to the strip and increased the throttle. Straight down the strip and up she went. 2 clicks of down elevator and it was flying straight and level. It was really docile but I was a little worried as to whether the engine would play up. I gave it a few circuits and decided to land to check everything over. Landed nicely and taxied back to the pits. Then the rain started. At least next time I'll feel a little more confident about the engine.

Shame that. I must have just left. I got home just after 3 pm to watch the football. I spoke to Gary yesterday regarding his new Pilot Extra.

Re: Sunday 7th
Glad to hear you boys had a good day at the field..
I met up with Tim, Jem at the Orme, It was very busy there lots of moulded models, the conditions were excellent and I maiden my 60" Wild thing. Extremely happy with how it went, only two click of up trim and it was flying great.
Only managed to spend a couple of hours there, as am getting ready for my next stint.

Tripod alone was almost a grand
It belonged to a pro cameramna - friend of Simon Cockers.
We had around 30 fliers, with about 35 models.
