I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ Smile .

Are there any radio 'Hams' in the club? I need to find some one with equipment(Rx and Tx) for use in the 70cm band(430mHz to 440mHz). Or, failing that has anyone got a scanner or spectrum analiser that covers this band? Just got a few tests I would like to do. Anyone able to help?

I am (or was) a radio 'ham'..... GW0GGW was the callsign. Although more of a shortwave lover I have a scanner that will cover the this frequency band

Many thanks for the offer Mel.
Got a hand held scanner from AP but a back up would be good as the 70cm band seems all but dead.
What have you got?

I'm afraid there is very little activity on the 70Cms band in this area. In the past two years I've only had two contacts on it, and despite trying to access a number of repeaters I used to use regularly a few years ago have not been able to do so.

I've got a Yaesu Hand held which covers 2M & 70Cms which you can try but I think as far as 70 goes you are flogging a dead horse. Crying or Very sad
