I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ

Those that know me well will know ive got a soft spot for F3A style planes, I just love the look. However the budget wont stretch to a full composite 2x2 machine.
So with a chance visit to Webbies over the xmas break, saw me buy a mini F3A, Namley a Kyosho Oxalys 50EP for a very cheep price (well worth looking on the specials board when you go in this was 60 quid off RRP). I belive this will help me tidy up my flying more as it wont 3D so the theroy is i wont be pratting about near the floor
Build will begin shortly but for now the specs will be
Motor: Thumper 4260
ESC: Tornado 80amp
Lipos: 5s1p 4800mah and 2s1p 1000mah for RX
Servos: Specki DS821 digi all round
Im aiming for about 1.1Kw
If its good enough for CPLR imagine the mess i can make of it

I still don't understand why F3a models are obliged to have Noddy paintjobs on them.....

Re: Straight lines! Thats were its at!
Ive now recived all my goodies for this :
3mm Ball links and pink hex head servo screws from model fixings
Specki 821 digi servos from Leeds MS
AR7000 RX from stock
Motor Thumper 4260 and 80amp ESC from Overlander
and various other odds and sods.
I can now crack on with the build but alas this morning I realised that the Comp I was intending using this plane for, The Sebart Cup (an event running along side the F3A World Cup) is on the same weekend as the wifes birthday so its unlikly I can go, GUTTED!
