I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Not got mine yet either... Although, we haven't had any post since last week. On Calling the sorting office, apparently Abergele is classed as a "rural area" and deliveries are unlikely in this weather... Made me chuckle!

Re: RDMFC in the press
Got my copy today thanks to the wife practically having to "T"bone the mail van and grabbing about five days of mail off our postie. It's definitely a good bit of publicity for the club in Ray's article Good to see the achievement tests being tightened up, nothing too stringent, but definitely moved in the right direction. I like the fact that that candidates now have to take off across their line of vision rather than standing behind the model
Re: RDMFC in the press
We already teach them to do that, it's just bringing the pilots into the modern world.
Re: RDMFC in the press
My BMFA News came ages ago but have to say missed seeing the detail within the article.

I always insisted the candidate MUST demonstrate their ability to cope with a take off or/and landing in any direction specified.
The guidelines have always said the examiner can ask to see a manouvre demonstrated to show the candidate can cope with a specific situation.
Tough stance maybe,
I used to say well get someone else to test you.
The reasoning
We don't want silly accidents within a watching crowd (or just one person) just because the pilot can't cope if the direction is not just right.

That's a bit harse Paaul for someone taking an "A" test, I can understand the reasoning for a "B"test.
