I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Re: Friday 13th Flying
I drove past the field about 4 (ish), and there were a few people there. I recognised Barnesy's van, and Jeremy with arms full of kit on the way back to his van. I did parp the horn to try and get him to drop everything, but failed

Re: Friday 13th Flying
Andy, thanks God Jeremy didn't drop anything, he was carrying half of my gear while I was putting the electric fence up
The weather was not looking great around Rhos, over cast and raining, but still I thought its best to check the field out.
Arrived there just before 1100am, it was like being in a different country
I had two helis and my secret weapon / my big gun ! yes its a twin star ! unfortunately it suffered slight damage during transit but that was not going to stop me. I called our friendly hardware store keeper and asked him to fetch me some glue with him
Had my first flight of the day, then Peter Slater arrived with a new model he finished building recently and it was going to be its first flight.
Jeremy arrived 90min late (in a typical Jamaican fashion, dont worrrrry MAN) thankfully he had my glue for the twin star..
Peter took off after making minor alterations and up up and away, it looked good up in the air.. Very nice Peter
Jeremy took to the air in his Heli and he was showing some nice moves. Then, he helped me check my Twin Star, all good then for a test flight... fantastic, new batteries which are more powerful than the old ones, plenty of power..
Very happy with my TS, few landings and take off, all good..
Then I did my first loop, yes a loop in a twin star which was very similar to a heli loop until I decided to give it negative pitch but managed to clear the ground by few meters.. and I had a go at doing a roll oh dear oh dear a quick recovery and still flying.. I would like to thank Jeremy for his help on flying the TS I really enjoyed flying it.
I would like to thank Peter for taking the photos and the coffee. Mark for popping by to give us support and of course my sponsors
Photo bucket is not loading ! so the photos are in the gallery
