I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Sunday 15.8.10 Aerotow Day
WOW!
Gutted ive had to leave early, the day started at 8am sharp with Me, Rich and Andy sat in the cafe eating a pukka brekkie. from that moment on the day has been fantastic!
Surley are biggest turn out for many a year at any event we have held, ive just left at least 15 fliers still there, Im sure there will be lots of stories/photos and vids to come!Including the story of Rich and the stream!

4 Metre Multiplex Alpina
Yes I made a perfect fly by the hedge or through it should I say then into a quick somersault in the piked position & backflip into the drink with the right hand aileron, hardly a mark on it just goes to show that taking the time to glass cloth the wings payed off.
Thanks to Phil the most relentless tug pilot I have ever seen next to me of course with his Zenny 62 powered Megawot fully refurbished with some quality hardware to go with it.

Heh heh Nothing a bit of cyno and a glass bandage won't fix
Barnes, want to buy a Mini-Fireworks DLG? One careful owner, treated with a great deal of love and respect, and has never been abused by tryinga launch, into a dive, followed by a big circuit at about 3 ft off the deck, without setting the altimeter correctly, and 3ft off the deck was actually -1ft off the deck?

I was going to ask about that Barnes. Try it on another model to make doubly sure it is teh TX at fault, before you send it off. Or just do the right thing, and buy that Transformer - a - like transmitter

Re: Sunday 15.8.10 Aerotow Day
Still no joy
Bri, I was having some wired things happen when flying but put it down to "piggy backing" Andy's rocket delta but after the last landing, as i reclaimed 'cath, i found every control glitching, so a quick check model end (including re bind and wire wiggle) the problem persisted.
So a re bind to Andys TX showed it working fine so thanks to Allan Patrick a new battery was tryed in the TX to which the problem arose again, The glitching starts 2-3 mins after power up, also the TX shows the battery voltage jumping around, which Andy has put down to a knackard reg which only begins to mess up once "warmed up"
Luckely i didnt break little 'cath or any of the on lookers but it dose somwhat explain the 2 nose overs i had whilsd rolling out on a beautifully manicured strip! The first nose over of the day was my incomputance!

Common guys i want more pics and vids!

Here's a quick vid of the little RC Boost glider in action. It was the maiden, hence the rocket being ignited high up, and not on the deck...

Looks like I may have done good on my Speky gear, unlike the FrSky. Sent 4 AR9000 plus 8 remotes for update and check last Friday. Rang yesterday to be told they got them Monday morning, had done them (software, aerials and case) and sent them to despatch. May get them this morning (and NO CHARGE)

I presume you told them to pull their thumbs from their rears, and get on with it then?
You wouldn't get that sort of problem with Multiplex gear, mainly because it wouldn't fail in the first place

I wouldn't mind if you used them, blocking proper flyers from getting the service
