I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Good morning campers
Typical RDMFC event weather with the forecast sadly correct and raining in Rhuddlan. Tomorrow's forecast looks better sunny if a little breezy. Hopefully see you later if the rain relents My face feels like the rising sun after two days standing on the Orme and my ribs are aching from too much combat laughter yesterday
Re: Good morning campers
Great isn't it?! Looking at the radar and satellite pictures, the rain is here for a good few hours yet...

Re: Good morning campers
Still looking grim up here in Abergele. The rain is easing off, but the satellite pictures suggest more to come. I'm going to do a few hours work, and see if the weather improves by lunchtime.

Re: Good morning campers
Well sorry as I am to say it, I cant see me bothering to make the trip to the field in these conditions. I imagine even if we did go, the field and pits area will be wet and muddy ( it rained all night ) and the traction on my car is to good in slippery stuff as you know !
Hate to not support the clubs events...but practicality suggests it would be a rather wasted journey for me
Anyone any latest update on who has turned up and the conditions etc?

Re: Good morning campers
Just driven home from work, and it is still persisting down. Going to head over to the field in a bit and have a gander. I'm determined to have a flight or two, but I think it will be dodge the rain time!

Re: Good morning campers
I'm reproting from the field now! The rain has stopped, and the field is not that wet considering! The wind is not too strong, and there is the odd patch of blue sky and sun! Just had a couple of flights with my funjet, which was nice...

Re: Good morning campers
It's drizzling here at the field now too, with a rather angry looking dark cloud heading this way. The forecast for tomorrow looks dry, but windy. Will report from the field in the morning!

Re: Good morning campers
In the southern north sea, we have the wind at 150 degrees 18 knots, rain, heavy at times, Baro 1013 falling slowly, outside temp 11 degrees C, Cloud - eight octares @ 500 ft and a 2.5 m sea .... dunno if that helps lol .... this is my last weekend at sea for this trip! Yipeeee

Thanks John, I'm traveling home on Monday and hope to drop by the field
The area we are working in is just south of the Dogger bank, (Sea Area Dodder / Humber), anywhere from there south is known as the Souther North Sea. I like it here it's less "wild" than up north!
Re: Good morning campers
Full marks allan, if anyone is truly bored there's an AIS site called " as ships go by" (or "watching as ships go by), something like that), it shows ships positions. My ship is the "Vos Discovery". sorry to highjack this thread
