I was at the field today between 14:00 & 15:00 all on my own , good flying too. There is a dead sheep along the fence line towards the gate from the pits, I saw the farmer so reported this to her. I hope no one had plans for a BBQ .

Popped over to the field during my lunch break ( too short a break to be able to fly) to find Zaidy and Dave S enjoying a spot of aviation. Such enthusiasm!!! Great guys, look forward to seeing you both again soon.

Re: Wed 4/2/09 Who is up for flying today
Its a pleasure meeting you Bob. Roy you are correct, its great fun trying to get my moneys worth so early in the year ....
Well the day started out really well, the sun was beaming the wind was none existent. Arrived there around 10.30 and had two flight with my Hawk 32 that had some major maintenance the last few days. Dave arrived shortly after and he was up in the air in no time having great fun threw his Raptor around until his engine cut out, resulting in a heavy landing and some damage.
Then it was lunch time and Bob came by to say hello.
I started my second Hawk (the doomed one) few changes have been made in the last week or so, had it setup and trimmed under Dave's watchful eyes. Had it up in the air for a couple of rolls and loops until the engine cut out on me, needless to say heart beating fast, pants soiled but I was very lucky to Auto rotate it to the ground with no damage (Phoenix thank you). We found out it was the glow plug that went !!
Then the fun started with trying to start it again, two plugs later we were up in the air again, That Toki 40 engine was not a happy engine at the start of the day and now it is happier that it was thanks to Dave S.
With a bit of luck the weather is good tomorrow so we can go out to have more fun

A good day at the field
Well Zaid beat me to it. Yes we had a great day with our Helis and Wellies!
Great to meat Bob G at lunch time. The only problem with the day was that whilst my auto resulted in some damage, Zaid got away with his firsty auto and landed it superbly. Well done mate . (thinks - this guy is learning to dam fast!!!!)
Never mind my T Rex is on charge just in case the weather gods smile again tommorow.
Now where did I put Revolution Models phone number?
Keep well
Regards
Dave S

Re: Wed 4/2/09 Who is up for flying today
All these posts about going out flying on a school day, are making me very envious! I've just got back from work after a marathon design review meeting, and I'm in desperate need of some stick time in the fresh air!
I'm off working in Manchester tomorrow all day, so fingers crossed the weather is good on friday, because I'm tempted to pull a sicky if it is!
Cheers
Andy

I did have a little hover in the back yard with a nitro for 5 min !! but it started to rain :-(
Looking forward to it.
The good news Dave is that, as we are new club members, we get an all you can eat and drink pass for the next 12 months (apparently its written in the club rules somewhere)

Sorry lads you forgot the bit in the small text, only dedicated fixed wing flyers get the freebie's not mixed discipline or grass cutters. Ha Ha
